POTUS Trump: Flags Lowered to Half-Staff Memorial Day Weekend

U.S. President Donald J. Trump on Thursday ordered U.S. flags to be lowered to half-staff over the three day Memorial weekend in memory of the victims of Corona Virus.

Originally, the president had posted to Twitter that he would be lowering the flags only on Monday, Memorial Day, but subsequently followed up that post with the one giving the longer time period to remember and honor those lost.

“I will be lowering the flags on all Federal Buildings and National Monuments to half-staff over the next three days in memory of the Americans we have lost to the CoronaVirus….” Donald J. Trump said.

Since taking office nearly three and a half years ago, President Trump has been fighting for Americans against the internal Communist threat by subverting traditional values from within. And He has loved America and the fighting spirit of true Americans all his life.

‘It is time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget: that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots, we all enjoy the same glorious freedoms, and we all salute the same great American Flag.’

Trump rebuilt the American economy only to watch it crumble at the hands of this hidden enemy that took American lives and crippled livelihoods.

The lowering of the flag is a symbol to remember and mourn those lost, but it is also a symbol to remember what Americans fight for: our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

A flag-covered casket is taken to the burial site at the Arlington National Cemetery in March 2014.

As Americans gather this Memorial Day, those of faith will pray for God to bless those whom we lost and to bless the United States of America.
